SMIRA Ltd. is required by law to comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), 2018. It is the commitment of the company to ensure that we comply with this Regulation to ensure the confidentiality of any personal data held by us, in whatever medium. This Regulation comes into force on 25th May 2018.
Information that SMIRA holds about members is name and address and email address, if the latter was provided on the membership application form.
We also hold email addresses of people who have confirmed, under the GDPR, that they want us to hold in order to communicate with them by email. This information is held in secure encrypted electronic form (FIPS 140-2 Certified). If you are a member of SMIRA your membership details are kept separately from our emailing list.
If you previously received minutes and other communications from SMIRA but these have stopped after 25th May 2018 then you did not respond to our email confirming that you wanted to continue recieving our emails after the introduction of the General Data Protection Regulation 2018.
You can, of course, advise us that you no longer wish to receive communications from SMIRA (unsubscribe) at any time by emailing us at email@example.com.
